I am interested in the whole person and my teaching is geared that way. I really love teaching and enjoy working with people. If you would like to try a couple of no obligation lessons please give me a call. I currently have some vacancies as several of my students have moved overseas to study or have undertaken new jobs or practise teaching that has meant they cannot continue lessons at present. I have many satisfied, happy students that have been studying with me over many years. I do not require singers or parents to sign lesson contracts as I have no need. Many past students are now professionals in performance and teaching industries or have simply used the skills developed in voice lessons in public speaking or leadership roles or simply have enjoyed developing a new side to themselves. I also teach at some of Sydney's top private schools regarded highly for their excellence in Music Education. My private studio is in West Pennant Hills Region north of Sydney's CBD. I also give regular performances as a freelance artist in Corporate Functions and a series of Schubertiade Concerts every year. I regularly update my skills and maintain my own performance schedule as time permits with performances in Sacred solo and Recital Repertoire. I a qualified and experienced singer and teacher with a Masters in Music from the University of Newcastle and a Bachelor of Music Education and an LTCL diploma. Many perform regularly with organisations such as musical societies, Australian Theatre for Young people, The Sydney Philharmonia, Gondwana Voices, The Australian Girls Choir, Macquarie Singers and many others. My students participate in a wide range of performance activities ranging from studio concerts and soirees, to examinations, competitions and auditions. My lessons focus on vocal technique, musical style and understanding of the composer, musicianship, genre and performance practice. I aim to give singing training that enhances creative flow and freedom of expression, in a professional, develops the individual's vocal talents and musicianship, positive and constructive environment.
