I believe that playing any instrument should be fun and my teaching methods allow for just that. I want students to be creative and want to play without making the learning process just another chore they have to do. Endless hours of theory and scale whilst essential in the long run, can quickly become dull and boring if not applied correctly. I make sure that the student plays songs from day one and I take a more softly softly approach to the theory side. I have been teaching over 8 years and my students are testimony to my approach. We learn pop, blues, jazz, classical, composition, improvisation and accompaniment. I teach pre-schoolers to mature adults and tailor my methods to the individual requirements.
