As the Nursery developed and relocated site many times, three of A.T’s sons came to unite him in the Citrus business. Myles and Sons was the now the name and nature of the business. Citrus was the focus of the nursery business with the boys producing 100,00 trees per year. The Citrus trees were fielded grown and dug upon order. Budding was done with raffia and wax, until 1956 when plastic budding tape became available. A.T passed on in 1962 and a few years behind this the brothers parted ways. Jim and Tom going on to grow roses, Bob continued with the Citrus production. Production was now moving away from the customary commercial orchard varieties of citrus. To meet the increasing demand from the retail sector more eclectic Citrus varieties were grown. The sales on field grown Citrus were also waning and it was during the seventies that Bob and Gary started experimenting with container grown plants. Gary and his wife Jan took over the Nursery from Bob in 1981 and have continued to evolve and prosper the site and Citrus production.

Navelina (NEW): a insignificant to lenient sized tree. Earliest maturing navel (April), slightly oval shaped with a thin, deep orange rind, moderate to large fruit, good flavor. Fruit of temperate sizes, slim skinned and apropos for fresh juicing. Fruit is important with appropriate flavor, easily peeled orange rind and segmented, with few seeds. Late maturing, lenient sized fruit in August October, with a smooth, firm thin yellow orange rind, tall juice content, excellent rich flavor, and contains seeds. Afourer produces squat, moderate sized fruit with deep orange colored flesh and rind, it peels easily and is very low in seed. Ideal for the home garden as numerous crops are produced per year (winter, spring and summer). Fruit moderate sized, thin yellow rind, scanty seeds and lofty acid juice content. Eureka Seedless Lemon: The Seedless Eureka Lemon was originally developed for commercial citrus growers, catering to the domestic and international demand for a seedless lemon. Tends to have one compressed crop per year in winter spring. Lemonade: a vigorous, thick cropping tree with fruit similar in appearance to a lemon. Fruit resembles a little lemon but less cold hardy and with a very svelte rind. Flesh is seedless and pale green in color. A true lime, fruit is smaller, rounder with very svelte rinds, green flesh, seedy. Single crop maturing winter, with appropriate juice content, few seeds but an insipid taste due to low acidity. Use the fruit whole or sliced when making tangy marmalade's and sauces. Forsake Lime: Citrus Gems tall passive tree that produces grape sized, lemon like fruit with a reckless taste of lime.Desert limes usually appear in summer.The sweet tangy fruit has a very slender skin and requires no peeling, honest slice it or use the total fruit to make a zesty lime pickle or marmalade macerate fruit in a sugar syrup or pop one into your icy cold beer for an Australian twist on a Mexican tradition.Desert Limes are extraordinarily tolerant of parched conditions. Green Variegated: trees have medium vigor and highly productive, making them ideal for ornamental and tub growing. Fruit medium sized, with thin, loose, sensible orange rind, scanty seeds and acidic. It lacks flesh, juice or seed development. This essence is impaired in a vast range of perfume and pharmaceutical products. Different root stocks will aid adapt citrus to varying climatic (cold) and soil conditions i.e. Eureka Seedless Lemon The superior of the lemons now it's SEEDLESS! Eureka Lemon is renowned for it’s sharp tasting, juicy fruit and very productive habit.
